The AFL trade period has seen other teams are not moving down on their demands, forcing Essendon to consider paying a overs to secure Brisbane defender Keidean Coleman. The player requested a move to the Bombers after discussions with Mark McVeigh, but the Lions are holding firm on their asking price. Additionally, Brisbane completed a deadline day pick swap with GWS, and the trade window will end shortly.
